Article 1 (Application)
These Terms of Service (hereinafter “Terms”) set forth the conditions for use of Footscroll (hereinafter “the App”). By downloading or using the App, you are deemed to have agreed to these Terms.
Article 2 (Service Description)
The App is a pedometer application that visualizes your step data from Apple Health. The “Ino Tadataka’s Dream” mode lets you simulate surveying Japan’s coastline based on your steps. Advertisements (Google AdMob) are displayed in the App.
Article 3 (Intellectual Property)
All copyrights and other intellectual property rights related to all content (programs, images, text, designs, etc.) contained in the App belong to the developer or legitimate rights holders.
Article 4 (Prohibited Actions)
Users must not engage in the following:
- Reverse engineering, decompiling, or disassembling the App
- Modifying the App or creating derivative works
- Infringing upon the rights of third parties using the App
- Any other actions deemed inappropriate by the developer
Article 5 (Data Handling)
The App reads step data from Apple Health. App settings are stored locally on your device. No data is transmitted to external servers.
Article 6 (Disclaimer)
- The developer makes no warranties regarding the accuracy, completeness, or usefulness of the App’s content.
- The developer shall not be liable for any damages arising from use of the App.
- The developer does not guarantee the operating environment or continuity of the service.
- Step data depends on Apple Health and the developer is not responsible for its accuracy.
Article 7 (Service Changes/Termination)
The developer may change the content, add or remove features, or terminate the service without prior notice.
Article 8 (Changes to Terms)
The developer may modify these Terms as necessary. Modified Terms shall take effect upon display within the App.
Article 9 (Governing Law and Jurisdiction)
These Terms shall be governed by and interpreted in accordance with the laws of Japan. The Tokyo District Court shall have exclusive jurisdiction as the court of first instance for any disputes related to these Terms.
